What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Some are needed for the site to work. Others are used to measure how the site is used or to embed content from other services.

What this website uses

Strictly necessary

• WordPress session and login cookies. Set only for salon staff who log in to manage the website, including a PHP session cookie (PHPSESSID) used by the login security check on the login screen, which expires when the browser is closed. They are not set for ordinary visitors browsing the website.
• Form anti-spam. Our contact forms use a hidden field and a timing check to block automated submissions. These do not identify you.
• Security. Our firewall may set a cookie to recognise administrator sessions and to block attacks.

Third party content

• Fonts. The typefaces used across this website (Lato and Playfair Display) are hosted on our own server. No request is made to Google Fonts and no cookies are set.
• Google Maps. The maps on our home page and contact page are provided by Google. They stay switched off until you allow functional cookies in our cookie banner or press “Load Google Map”. Once loaded, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies. You can use the “Open in Google Maps” link instead if you prefer.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this website, for example which pages are viewed and whether enquiry forms are sent. Google Analytics only loads if you accept analytics cookies in our cookie banner. Before you choose, and if you reject them, nothing is sent to Google and no analytics cookies are set. If you later withdraw consent, we remove the analytics cookies.

• _ga: distinguishes visitors. Expires after 2 years.
• _ga_ED72280Y4V: keeps the state of your visit. Expires after 2 years.

Advertising

This website does not use advertising cookies.

Your choice is saved in a cookieyes-consent cookie for 1 year. You can change it at any time using the cookie settings button in the bottom-left corner of every page.

Controlling cookies

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Every major browser lets you do this, and most let you block third-party cookies while keeping first-party ones. Blocking cookies will not stop this website working, but it may stop the embedded map from displaying.
